An Unforgettable Evening At The Great Big Dig Raises $130,000

Throughout the past eight years, Revolve has proudly served as a lead supporter and sponsor of the IWK's annual black tie fundraising gala; an event that has raised over $900,000 in support of women, children, youth and families throughout the Maritimes.

The Great Big Dig is a construction-themed event highlighting the industry's commitment to the IWK as 'contractors who care'. Our challenge was to create a brand that blends the attributes of a formal gala with the generosity and spirit of our region's construction industry, a black-tie brand that didn't mind getting its hands dirty in support of the Maritime's largest children's hospital. The event logo - a construction-tape bow tie - combined with an industrial stage, a stunning event program, website, Atlantic CAT centerpieces, and excavator buckets filled with beer to bring the brand's visual language to life across a variety of touch points.

And we couldn't be happier with the results. The 2009 Great Big Dig for the IWK, held on November 18, raised another $130,000 during an unforgettable evening of spectacular auction prizes, food and entertainment. It seems a bow tie is indeed the perfect compliment to a hard hat.
