The sun was shining, the ribs were cooking and most importantly, the word was out about testicular cancer at the second annual Nuts4Ribs festival on August 23, 2008 in Bedford.
Once again, Revolve was excited to participate as a sponsor, helping the organizers with the marketing and promotion of this unique and potentially lifesaving event. In its first year, NutsforRibs attracted more than 2000 people and raised over $25,000. This year, attendance more than tripled and over $50,000 was raised for the Canadian Cancer Society - Nova Scotia Division. Testicular cancer is the most common malignancy in young men between the ages of 18 and 35, but detected early, it is also the most curable form of cancer. Raising awareness and raising funds is what the event was all about, and of course, a day of barbecued ribs, great music and entertainment on the waterfront wasn't too shabby either. We're looking forward to encouraging people to 'grab their meat' again at next year's Nuts4Ribs.
